ITALFARMACO was founded in Italy in 1938 and is now present in over 90 countries. We develop and provide medicines in several therapeutic areas, including those for rare diagnoses and diseases that require specialist care.
ITALFARMACO Nordics is a part of the global company ITALFARMACO Group.
Our vision, to deliver modern therapies within the field of neuromuscular diseases, is inspired by the group's extensive experience in research, development, and manufacturing of medicines. We combine this with a knowledgeable team with many years of Nordic experience in working with rare diseases, with our initial goal being to contribute to more treatment options for those living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

ITALFARMACO Group’s first in-house developed product reached the market in 1984. Since then, we have delivered several successful products in a range of disease areas. Our current pipeline is focused on developments within the fields of inflammation, oncology and neuromuscular degeneration. Our vision is, not only to develop new medicines, but also to improve existing therapies to increase the safety and efficacy for patients.
